Both our NP’s (Nurse Practitioners) and GP’s (General Practitioners) work here as a team and communicate regularly to ensure good clinical care and offering continuity of care to our patients.

These are trained nurses who have completed a specific degree course to extend their role to include examining, diagnosing and treating, including prescribing, for a wide range of common health conditions. More advanced care of long term health conditions e.g. diabetes, prevention of coronary heart disease and referring to hospitals and specialists.
Carol Sears BSc NP Dip, RN, RM, OND NMC-77Y1268E
Carol trained at the Middlesex Hospital. She has worked in general practice nursing for more than 20 years, prior to that as a midwife. She was one of the first nurses in the UK to undertake the extended nurse prescribing course. She has a special interest in all aspects of primary care and hypertension management. She is a Queens Nurse and also the clinical director of the practice.
Julie Belton MSc BSc NP dip, RN, RM NMC-83J1886E
Julie trained at Kent and Canterbury hospital as an RGN in 1983. She has extensive experience in primary care working as a Nurse Practitioner. She spent 11 years working in quality and practice development, improving service Provision for patients and public.
She is a the Operational Director of the practice.
Joanne Robinson BSc (Hons) NP, RN (Not currently working in a clinical capacity)
Jo trained at Dorset & Salisbury College of Nursing and initially specialised in Burns and Plastics. She has worked in General Practice in Buckinghamshire for 8 years as a practice Nurse and as a Nurse Practitioner since 2006. She is an independent and supplementary prescriber. She is also our safeguarding lead and on the senior management team.

Maria has worked at Cuckoo Lane previously on a Friday afternoon only. Since she stopped being a Community Matron in Ealing she has been doing a few more clinics.

Sally trained at Adenbrooks Hospital, Cambridge. She has a special interest in hypertension management. Sally is also our research lead.
Jo Ross M.Sc. BA(Hons) RGN, RM, Dip.Trop.N. NMC 86G1139E
Jo is a Nurse and Midwife. She is a non -medical prescriber and is currently completing her Nurse Practitioner training. She has worked in primary care for over 10 years and has specialist interests in diabetes and women’s health. Jo has worked extensively overseas with various organisations including Doctors Without Borders. She continues her international interests working as a Midwife Consultant for UNICEF and a guest lecturer in at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
Our GPs compliment the Nurse Practitioners with their own clinical interests, expanding the skill mix of the team. They work a dedicated number of sessions a week.

Dr Adesanoye trained in Nigeria then as a GP in UK. He has been a valuable member of the team at Cuckoo Lane since 2008.

Dr Lucas has been working at Cuckoo Lane since 2014 and has previously worked for many years in other local surgeries.
