You are able to request your repeat prescription via our online services, post or in person.
Why does it take 2 working days to process a repeat prescription request?
At Cuckoo Lane Practice around 50-60 prescriptions are requested every day. We have to ensure they are all safe and up to date.
Our prescriptions clerk has to check your medical records to ensure that your medication request is on your repeat prescription, it then goes to our Clinicians to authorise and ensure that it is still appropriate and safe for you. Once authorised, prescriptions are sent via ETP to your chosen pharmacy.
Delays may occur if any medication requested is not on your repeat prescription list or if your medication request differs from what is in your record or if you have not attended for review when invited to do so. We may also request that you make an appointment to have your medication reviewed.
